Sydney International Airport - Heineken Bar

The Heineken Bar project showcases Wellfix’s ability to deliver complex and visually striking glass installations within a high-end hospitality environment. The design of the bar was carefully developed to integrate multiple materials and features, creating a warm, inviting, and modern space for visitors. By combining curved glass with copper mesh, integrated lighting, and a natural Tasmanian Oak benchtop, the finished result delivers a unique visual experience that stands out within the venue.

At the centre of the design is a continuous curved glass system that forms the outer structure of the rectangular bar. The installation consists of two layers of curved glass that run seamlessly along all four sides, creating a consistent and elegant appearance from every angle.

The inner glass layer was designed using curved frosted glass, with copper mesh bonded to the front face. This feature adds texture and depth while complementing the natural tones of the Tasmanian Oak benchtop. Between the inner and outer glass panels, a vertical upright light diffuser was installed. The lighting shines through obscured Starphire white translucent glass, producing a warm ambient glow that reflects beautifully off the copper mesh and enhances the overall atmosphere of the bar.

The outer layer consists of 12mm clear Starphire curved glass, selected for its exceptional clarity and premium finish. Each corner section of the bar required carefully curved glass panels that were precisely aligned with the intersecting pieces to maintain the continuous flow of the design. In total, 32 individual glass panels were fabricated and installed to complete this impressive architectural feature, demonstrating Wellfix’s expertise in delivering high-quality curved glass solutions.
